Hi. My collaborator and I have created an installation called The Observational Soundscape which monitors a public space and responds with live sounds. The most recent version makes sound-recordings of the space where the piece is installed and uses them as the seeds for synthesis. When nobody is there, it's silent, but when the space comes alive with motion the piece comes alive with sound. More info here: http://www.zachpoff.com/site/collaborations/collaborations.html Documentation of the newest version is on its way. (It's up right now at Bates College in Maine) -Zach

Hello we are an artist tandem (Alexandre Berthier & Karl-Otto von Oertzen) and are working under the name MarsWalkers.
We are french but lived in the USA the last two years.
Karl is actually still there, in Maine.

You can see our artwork at the following website: www.marswalkers.org.
We did some video installations where the space defines the work
have a look at "In Between" under "Installations"
there is a video describing the piece.
Our last piece is called "the house of the other"
the internet page is not finished but you can still see some pictures.
We have a DVD presentation of that piece if you are interested.
Basically we built a house to display some people's interview.
Only their head were projected on the back wall of the room and the house represent a metaphor of the person's body.
we built a house inside a huge barn, the wooden house in the wooden house

thanks for taking the time to look at the work,
we would be delighted to be considered for the exhibition.
