yes, the redesign is sexy,

the rhizpaper /wallpaper change up needs to be an open
forum where any member can go in there and change at any time,
that would make it much much more interesting..

also the membership fee for looking at content older than 1year
old is now 25 dollars? http://rhizome.org/support/for_individuals.rhiz
is this right, and is this a new thing?

well, if 500 of you want to send me
a dollar and your email address i'll buy an organizational subscription
http://rhizome.org/info/org.php and sign you up under "rhizome's
organized crime family" organizational subscription.

Hi everyone,

Like many who have already responded, I also think the new look is great.
Congrats! My only criticism would be to find a way to let the background
image show through when scrolling the postings of the reblog. When the user
scrolls down the image disappears, save for the right hand side which
reappears once one gets past the features on the right hand-side. Other
than that, I really like it.

Best,

Eduardo Navas

HI Eduardo,

Thanks for your kind words about the design, and for the constructive
criticism. Just to clarify, when you say "show through," are you suggesting
that the reBlog entries be more transparent? I can see how this looks but I
just wanted to make sure I fully understood your suggestion first.

All best,
Lauren

that's a super cool idea.

have wanted to come up with something like that for the plasma site, but this hits it on the head. if you or anybody has any more ideas, i'd like to figure out how to make a whole site be made by visitors (not "members"!)

(and yes, count me in, applauding rhizome's great new design.)

I think the new site looks great, a few gliches on some links. One I found when looking for more keywords in the TextBase,
I expected more keywords to display on the more link

Browse by Keyword
3D | access | animation | archive | art world | artificial life | audio | bio | body | broadcast | browser | CD-ROM | censorship | cinema | colonialism | commercialization | community | conference | corporate | death | design | desire | digital | disappearance | education | email | exhibition more..

but the same keywords appear.

Yes it's great. I'm not 100% sold on the rhizome background image,
but maybe it will grow on me. Or around me, in all directions.

but then again it may be me. I looked again and the new interface made sense with a second go-through.
I believe the horizontal flyouts and the new hieratic menuing systems are big improvements over the older version.
good work,

Hi Eric,

I think you were right the first time actually :) We put a few keywords on
the main textbase page so that how/ with what one browses the textbase
would be very clear. We only listed a few though and, as i see it, they
mainly function to point visitors to the whole keyword section. Clicking
'more' should take you here:
http://rhizome.org/fresh/texts_by_keyword.rhiz

Anyway - thanks for pointing this out! I'm keeping note of (and looking
for) little glitches and errors across the site now. Francis is away on
vacation until the New Year but when he gets back we'll give the whole
site another pass. If anyone finds any other broken links or issues –
please dont hesitate to email me on or off-list.

Best,
L

Great job! Love the new design (and the new RhizPaper). I agree that it's a big improvement over the old site. Still experiencing a few glitches as others seem to be (I'm having trouble changing my profile and email login, looking for the "submit" button, etc.), but no rush! The dotted lines in combination with the new font are a little wiggy on my eyes. Otherwise, looking cooooooool! Dynamic RhizPaper sounds like a great idea.
