USA EXQUISITE CORPSE SEIZES MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
AND OCCUPIES REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION

WASHINGTON, DC - Units of the USA Exquisite Corpse's 3rd Infantry
Division, along with elements of the 6th Armored Division
and 9th Calvary Battalion, seized Madison Square Garden in New York
City early this morning on the eve of the Republican National
Convention, demonstrating to the world that artistic forces can move
at will, as confirmed by the US Department of Art & Technology at
0500 hours.

Briefing the press from US DAT offices in Washington, DC, Commanding
General Andrew Nagy said that with the successful execution of
Operation Artistic Freedom, the deployment of troops into downtown
New York City "reinforces the reality that the Bush regime is no
longer in control of the city."

According to reports, Corpse tank and armored personnel columns
encountered pockets of "light" Republican resistance en route along
6th and 7th Avenues near Madison Square Garden. However, it was said
that such resistance "did not affect" coalition operations. According
to US Department of Art and Technology Secretary Randall M. Packer,
agents from a renegade "Aesthetic Espionage" group known colloquially
as the S.H.A.D.O.W., infiltrated the Republican Convention, occupying
the entirety of Madison Square Garden. RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie
announced while the occupation was underway, frightened delegates
were "hurling themselves from the windows above."

Special Technology Forces from the Counter-Reality Illusionary
Engineering Division (C.R.I.E.D.), launched an attack which officials
are calling "Fine-Line Blurring Espionage," consisting of
Departmental deployments of trans-media artwork created by
underground Staff Artists across the city. Secretary Packer
jubilantly concluded today's press briefing from the Experimental
Party DisInformation Center in NYC with the pronouncement, "Mission
Accomplished."

According to General Nagy, coalition forces will be resupplied and
reinforced daily from anonymous subterranean bunkers scattered
throughout the city. He added, "the command is cautiously optimistic
in their approach," but warns "the Republicans can retaliate." The
command continues to treat the possibility of use of chemical,
biological and nuclear weapons as a threat to the troops in action,
as well as the entire New York City civilian population. News reports
out of the area said that coalition forces have found mobile chemical
weapons facilities and potential ammunition caches near Hackensack,
New Jersey, yet US DAT officials could not be reached to confirm the
reports.
