S.P.I.N.Y. is an interactive feature game for adults on CD-Rom. A film scri=
pt is the material used for a text & photo story being narrated interactive=
ly on the basis of comix & collage. S.P.I.N.Y. allows the user to surf thro=
ugh the story of Sandrella which describes the phases of personal developme=
nt the main figure has to live through until she can find her way out of de=
pendencies into freedom of decision.

S.P.I.N.Y. is a role play. It is an entertainment product, an interactive c=
ollage which experiments with the options & boundaries of interactivity to =
provoke interactivity in the user's personality. S.P.I.N.Y. problematizes t=
he position & consciousness of women and their environment in Western socie=
ty today, after the changes emancipation lead to. The principles of collage=
and fragmentation & the navigation structure are used to reflect the theme=
itself: the fragmentation and variety of female identities today & the dif=
ficulties and conflicts on the way of finding the kind of life one wants to=
live.

S.P.I.N.Y. does not simply offer pre-manufactured interacitivity but provok=
es in the user a consciousness for free decisions. Activity instead of pass=
ivity, communication, perception of one's needs & wishes instead of blind r=
eaction towards standardized offers - this is the understanding of interact=
ivity which S.P.I.N.Y. tries to evoke - in form of a sensual experience & a=
n entertaining process aiming at the user's personal development.
