> Existence is sponsoring an open call to make
mediocre stuff. There is no deadline, and the show
will run from now until forever. Artists and even
regular people are invited to make mediocre stuff out
of physical materials or bits. The stuff can be 2D,
3D, animated, linear, non-linear, reactive,
interactive, autogenerative, static, networked,
online, offline, or sitting on cinder blocks in your
back yard.
>
> No prizes, grants, or residencies will be awarded;
no gallery space will be allotted; no festival will be
held. No publication will accompany the show, nor will
it have a name, so you won't be able to put it on your
CV, resume, business card, faculty record, book flap,
or the back of your 4X10 black & white glossy. No
wine or cheese will be served at the opening. DJ
Spooky will not be on the turntables. Press coverage
will be provided by neither Mathew Mirapaul nor
Josephine Bosma. No art school interns will point at
you and ask "is that he/she?"
