Chalking Outside Rhizome...

Posted by marc garrett | Thu Apr 17th 2003 9:06 a.m.

Hi everyone,

Some of the furtherfield crew will be chalking on the steps and on the
street (outside) Rhizome next week, in New York.

'uRBAn ReLaTiOnIsts', will meet with who ever turns up, chalk your
sigils/signs/messages, chalk you tags, draw your images, txt and expound
your psychogeographic sensibilities. Only chalk please...oh yes, bring your
own chalks also.

If any of the Rhizome crew are around, perhaps some of them would want to
join in on the fun and chalk their own scribblings with us.

All images will be put up on Furtherfield a week after the occassion. This
is a non political event, a creative bit of fun exploring spatial anomolies,
virtual non virtual.

Of course if anyone has any coffees or tea, soft drinks from inside the
Rhizome office to quench the potential thirst of participants, we would of
course be very grateful.

OK - who's coming? DATE: 25th April.

Please mail openly on the list if you want to meet there...

    hi marc:

sounds like fun. unfortunately, i'll be in cambridge that day (giving a
talk at the mit comparative media studies program). francis will be at id
magazine judging the interactive design awards. rachel will be working at
her other job that day. and alexis is planning to take the day off. so it
doesn't look like anybody will be there on the 25th.

    best,

    mark

Your five dollars was only a cover charge, you still have to pay for drinks.

    Hi Mark,

No probz - for those who are unhappy about the date of 25th regarding
chalking and would rather sit down for a chat over a coffee and cream bun
instead - I should mention that we are in NY from the 20th - 27th of April.

We are keen in making constructive contacts to 'fill' the chasm between
    creative types...

    be there.
    ..

    or be not there...

from 20th -27th, she will be the one too busy eating Krispy Kremes to notice
    any chalking........
