While booking or buying a ticket, we give our personal data, sometimes numbers of our documents. The information is stored by companies providing services; it is the basis for marketing information. Using a credit card, we create a next record which precisely defines: who, where, how many. Buying insurance, you sometimes give not only your data but the data of your family too. Personal data, preferences, numbers of personal devices are stored and monitored in some cases. To make the latter possible, a strategy of recording is needed. This strategy is called mapping.
