That's right - it's the TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Squeaky Wheel's Annual Dys(fun)ctional Holiday Party & Screening, a quirky, disturbing and funny way to kick off the holiday season. This year, this holiday extravaganza will take place at Squeaky Wheel on Saturday, Dec. 18th (8pm), featuring various artists & entertainers that celebrate the TRUE meaning of the holiday season (i.e. obnoxious relatives, crass consumerism, gluttonous feasts, and giving your Great-Aunt Edna a foot massage). Guest will be able to complete last minute holiday shopping at the gift auction & vendor booths, featuring special packages & crafts by local merchants and artists.

Between last years wacky magician and the extra special visit from the Abominable Snowman, we know it's going to be hard to beat last years shenanigans….but I think we've got it covered - we promise you won't be disappointed!

VIDEO & FILM SUBMISSIONS: Video and film submissions can be sent via email w/ a web link, video description, screening history & artist bio to office(at)squeaky.org, with DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY VIDEO SUBMISSION in the subject line. It is preferred to receive online submissions, but we can also accept clearly labeled snail mail submissions, with a mini-DV or DVD, sent to: Squeaky Wheel, 712 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14202 (ATTN: DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY)

2D & 3D ARTWORK (DIGITAL & NON-DIGITAL, NON-TIME BASED) SUBMISSIONS: Non-Time Based Artwork can be sent via email w/ low-res files attached, with work description (size, installation requirements, etc) & artist bio to office(at)squeaky.org, with DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY, NON-TIMED BASED ARTWORK PROPOSAL in the subject header. It is preferred to receive online submissions, but we can also accept clearly labeled snail mail submissions with files on disc, sent to: Squeaky Wheel, 712 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14202 (ATTN: DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY)

INSTALLATION & PERFORMANCE PROPOSALS: Installation & Performance proposals can be sent via email w/ a detailed description, a listing of technical requirements & equipment (be specific & realistic about what you need and what you will provide), documentation of previous or related installation, where the work has shown (if applicable), and an artist bio. Submissions can be sent to (office(at)squeaky.org, with DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY INSTALLATION / PERFORMANCE PROPOSAL in the subject header (please specify which in the subject line). DIY CRAFT VENDORS: Craft Vendors can apply for a one out of three table spaces, which are available for $35 each table. Vendors receive free admission to the event, plus one complimentary ticket for a friend, spouse, or helper. Our event attracts over 100 people throughout the evening, all eager to score some artsy hand-crafted, homemade goods for holiday gifts. To apply for a table at this event, send us an email to office(at)squeaky.org with DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY CRAFT VENDOR PROPOSAL as the subject header, with your contact information and a link to your work/store/etsy profile online.
