The School of Art (SOA) at Carnegie Mellon University is announcing a
tenure-track or visiting faculty position in Sculpture/Installation/Site
to teach energetic and motivated students in BFA and MFA programs. A candidate deeply engaged with contemporary processes and issues in sculpture is sought. A significant exhibition record and an advanced degree or equivalent with three years of University level teaching experience beyond teaching assistantships is desired. We are
seeking a dynamic artist committed to a creative practice with a strong background in sculpture that may include interdisciplinarity and various media and models of art making. The position includes the potential for collaboration with other divisions on campus such as the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry, Human Computer Interaction Institute, Robotics  Institute, Digital Fabrication Lab, and more. • Documentation of artwork: Submit up to 20 examples of
work documented on CD or website. Please include a
printed work list detailing: title, dimensions, media,
year, etc.
• Documentation of time-based or interactive work should
include navigation instructions, if applicable, and
should not exceed five minutes of total viewing time.
Please use a permanent felt-tipped marker to label
discs, rather than adhesive labels, which may cause
problems in slot-loading CD/DVD Drives. Computer-based
work is viewed on Mac OS X systems unless otherwise
noted.
