Triangle Arts Association
Triangle Arts Association is a NYC-based non-profit arts organization founded in 1982 to support international and U.S. artists. Triangle is centered on dialogue, experimentation and the creation of community around art. Please check our website for more details: www.triangleartsnyc.org.

Programs
Triangle offers free, spacious studios and a dynamic artistic community to support the development of projects with emphasis on dialogue and experimentation. Studio spaces with 24-hour access for periods of 3 months are available.
Triangle's founding concept and current programs de-emphasize professionalization and specific outcomes, instead allowing artists generous space, context and community within which to focus on their ideas and process.
Beyond workspace, regular gatherings, public events, open studios, and visits from curators are organized. Administrative and peer support is provided for all participating artists. Engaging in dialogue with your fellow Triangle artists is an important part of the residency.
International and US-based artists or collectives working in any medium or discipline may apply. Residents are responsible for housing, travel, visa, materials, etc. Triangle's staff can assist accepted artists with recommendations for accommodation or suggestions of outside funding opportunities to apply for. All residents are expected to spend a minimum of 15 hours a week working in their studio, as well as to attend shared studio visits and other residency meetings, organized several times a month.

Applications are currently being accepted through October 1, 2019 for Triangle’s Residency Program. Applicants are asked to submit 10 work samples, an artist statement, CV and the names of 2 references, as well as briefly explain their motivations for applying. References should be able to speak to the quality of your work and/or how you would benefit from a studio-based residency at this time. Please read FAQs below carefully and only contact us if your question isn’t answered here. Thank you.
No calls please.
