"Future Artifact" New Media Art Exhibition
Plexus Projects is seeking submissions of moving image artworks for "Future Artifact", an exhibition of screen-based digital media art in conjunction with Creative Tech Week (May 4-12). We are seeking videos and animations that represent the variety of technologies which contemporary artists are using including computer-generated animation, data-driven imaging, 3D scanning, custom software, animated GIF's, as well as conventional digital video editing. This is the second installment of "Future Artifact", presented at Creative Tech Week 2016 at Dose Projects Space in Brooklyn, NY.
Selected videos will be projected (approx. 10' x 7.5') in the gallery space and archived in an online exhibition. Submissions of any length will be considered however excerpts for longer works may be chosen for the screening. Several screenings of selected works will be curated around themes including but not limited to "Apparatus", "Data as Material", "Embodied Interfaces", "Permeable Barriers", and "dys(function)".
