THE HOLLOWS IS A LIVE/WORK/EXHIBIT SPACE IN WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN, ONE BLOCK FROM BEDFORD AVE STOP PRODUCING EXHIBITIONS AND VARIOUS PROGRAMMING SERIES WITH A CURATORIAL EMPHASIS ON AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT.

THE HOLLOWS IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for ONE-MONTH FILMHOUSE or ROOM AS CANVAS SERIES RESIDENCY from:

+AUDIO/VISUAL ARTISTS: ROOM AS CANVAS

FILMHOUSE Residency includes:
• 1 programming event in which the filmmakers screen their inspirational movies. on first Saturdays oh the
month from 8-9 PM
• 1 audition event on second Saturdays from 8-9 PM live/work/exhibit
• 10 days of shooting in The Hollows 5-floor building, indoors and outdoors areas with volunteering artists'
rooms and present artworks
• 1 screening event with rough cut version on fourth Saturday from 8-9 pm
• 1 screening event during The Hollows Eastyard Film Festival in 2018
•Curatorial meetings with The Hollows team and guest critics
•Invitation to participate in The Hollows group exhibitions
•Artist profiling in photo/video
•Feedback dinners
•Online and print media, PR
•Postcard/poster design
•Teaching and attending resident artist workshops
•Possibility of participation in The Hollows page on Artsy.net
•Library with art books and magazines subscriptions, Artforum, Art Review, New York magazine, The New Yorker,
W Magazine, Vogue, Elle, The Economist
•Commons corner with equipment such as HD Projector, Canon 5D MarkII DSLR Camera, Samsung Gear 360 Virtual Reality Camera and Goggles, white projection screen, art supplies, tools and lights.
•Monthly internal residency bulletin
•Kitchen access, storage and utilities

ROOM AS CANVAS residency includes:
•Minimum 4 days of solo exhibition
•Possibility of programming in forms of talks, screenings, performances
•Real time archival on The Hollows website
•Curatorial meetings with The Hollows team and guest critics
•Invitation to participate in The Hollows group exhibitions
•Artist profiling in photo/video
•Feedback dinners
•Online and print media, PR
•Postcard/poster design
•Teaching and attending resident artist workshops
•Possibility of participation in The Hollows page on Artsy.net
