Ruins of the future program
Arequipa, Peru - 04.09.03 Target Foundation is pleased to announce the program of Ruins of the future.

Ruins of the future in Arequipa presents nine installations of the leading contemporary artists of the 21st century. Anish Kapoor(India); Mario Merz (Italy), Niele Toroni (Italy) Claes Oldenburg (USA) Christo (Bulgaria) Thomas Hirschhorn (Switzerland), Jeff Koons (USA), Joseph Kosuth (USA) and Richard Long (England) These works were specially created for Ruins of the future.

Over the period of 60 days, installations will become workshops, or be
turned into offices, or stages for performances and locations of
interaction. In addition there will be temporary projects including
plays for the theater, lectures, or performances that will take place at
arranged dates and times.
Some artists with works that generally have a communicative approach
will hold public presentations and will directly involve the audience in
this aspect of their work.

Finally the curator/ artist Pierre Mertens will give lectures in different cities in the world about the concept and the context of this exhibition.
These events are an essential part of the Ruins of the future exhibition.
