Political Debate and Video Art, live from Florence

European Social Forum (Florence, Italy, Nov 6-9)

During the ESF, the Italian "Disobedienti" launch Global TV, their first micro TV station. It is available in Europe via digital satellite (Eutelsat, fr 12,520 MHz, 27500 MS/s, 3/4 FEC - same channel as Liguria TV, on terrestrial analogue television in Italy, and in streaming on www.altremappe.org (also as an archive).

The programme mixes interviews of the participants, news pieces from the forum, a live coverage of the manifestation scheduled for Saturday 9, etc, with videos art and graphic pieces from different Italian experimental artists and groups: the Tuscan Giacomo Verde (who is also producing live inserts with his "virtual puppet"), the Riot Generation Group and Immagine Mosse, both from Rome, and the Flux Desire Corporation from Pescara.

Hopefully this is only the first of many new channels.
