Rhizome should look for a creative way to bridge this art object market without hesitation. Don't believe for a second that net art does not have a feasible market. Granted, most art institutions have a built in following for acquiring artworks, primarily because most people know what to do with those object, but that
should not limit a slight re-invention or tinkering of the marketplace. The packaging and placement strategies, if approached like the early days of Rhizome, should create some interesting results. Besides, if you refer to internet/media generate work as art, how different can the marketing really be.
