Visual AIDS will hold its fifth annual Postcards from the Edge benefit on Monday, October 28, 2002 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Hosted this year by Sperone Westwater, 431 West 13 St., NYC. Buy one of over 700 original works of art by established and emerging artists for just $50; and help support the HIV/AIDS programs of Visual AIDS.

Postcards from the Edge is Visual AIDS' annual benefit sale of postcard-sized artwork by established and emerging artists. All works are priced at $50 and sold* on a first come, first served basis. The works of art will be exhibited so that the artists' signatures cannot be seen. Buyers will have a list of participating artists but will not know who created each piece until time of purchase. Postcards from the Edge is famous within the art world as the most exciting and affordable way to build a collection of work by internationally renowned artists as well as young and emerging artists. And for only $50, you can buy the art you love, while supporting an important cause. *(Cash and checks with photo ID accepted only.)

All Postcards from the Edge proceeds – 100 percent of all sales – go to support the programs of Visual AIDS. Founded in 1988 by artists and activists, Visual AIDS promotes AIDS awareness through the visual arts. Two Visual AIDS initiatives, the Red Ribbon and Day Without Art, have become icons of AIDS awareness. Visual AIDS also supports artists with HIV/AIDS through direct professional services including free photo-documentation of artwork, the largest slide library of work by artists with HIV/AIDS, materials grants to those with low incomes, estate planning services, exhibition opportunities, professional development, advice and advocacy.
