Tenure Track Position Opening: Assistant Professor, New Media

VISUAL ARTS AND NEW MEDIA: New Media. Assistant Professor, State University of New York at Fredonia. Full-time tenure track starting Fall 2006, salary and benefits competitive. Candidates must be capable of teaching New Media methodologies, specifically 3D Modeling and Animation with related Audio support, in a fine arts context. This program is a comprehensive undergraduate Media Arts program that establishes strong conceptual relationships between new technologies and traditional visual art disciplines. MFA in Media Arts, Electronic Arts or related Fine Art fields required with college-level teaching experience beyond TA preferred and a strong record of professional activity. About the Department
The Department of Visual Arts and New Media provides a balanced, comprehensive undergraduate program in the practice, theory, and history of the visual arts and new media. Current enrollment of about 250 majors, offering a BA in Art History, BA in Visual Arts and New Media and media specific BFA degrees.
