The Video/Media area of Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts is seeking to fill 2 adjunct positions next semester (Spring 2006) for the following courses:
Video 1
Primarily a production course but taught through a critical context. This course serves as a gateway course for all our Video/Media students, We are looking for someone with proficiency in Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro as well as digital camcorders, lighting, basic sound, etc. The candidate should have a MFA degree with a Video/Media background or equivalent. Course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
Film/Video as a Visual Medium
A crtical theory course. We are looking for someone with expertise in media art history, tradition and theory. The candidate should have a MA, MFA, ABD or PhD degree or equivalent. Course meets on Tuesdays, from 2:50pm to 5:50pm
Mason Gross School of the Arts and Rutgers University is located in New Brunswick, approximately 35 miles southwest of New York and 50 miles northeast of Philadelphia. The campus can be easily reached by commuter train from both cities. The salary is $5,500 per course and both courses may be taught by the same person if qualified.
