Rhizome.org seeks a Marketing/PR intern for the Fall 2002 session. We are looking for an energetic, creative, experienced and professional individual. This position will offer exposure to various press contacts and important figures in the new media art world. As an intern you will gain invaluable experience in public relations, marketing and event planning while working with a small group of devoted arts professionals.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain and Develop Press List
-Draft Press Releases
-Maintain Press Files/Press Kit
-Research and Develop AdSwap Partnerships
-Update Website (for those with html skills)
-Assist with Events E-Mailings
-Assist with Annual Fundraising Event
Skills:
-Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications major desirable
-Public Relations experience a must
-Superior written and verbal communication
-Strong Interest in New Media Art
-Microsoft Office
-FileMaker/Database experience a plus
-HTML experience a plus
Hours: 15-20 hours/week, scheduling flexible
Dates: September 15-December 15, 2002
