Experience cinema-for-the ear as ((audience)) presents JG Thirlwell’s Manorexia: Dinoflagellate Blooms. This 5.1 album features 11 compositions composed, produced, and performed by Brooklyn-based and record-making Thirlwell. Known by many pseudonyms including Foetus, Zizanie, Clint Ruin, and others, Thirlwell is known for his dramatic, intense, and diverse musical style. Thirlwell’s oeuvre stretches the gamut from orchestrations, big band, and cathartic noise-rock to abstract electronics and chamber music soundtracks, often all in the same album.

Beginning in Berlin in 2005, Manorexia was later recorded at Thirlwell’s Self Immolation studios in Brooklyn, and the 5.1 mixes were made at Harvestworks Studio with musician, sound artist, producer Paul Geluso. The album was released as a 5.1 DVD in October 2011 with smashing reviews.
