Expand your typesetting skills with more complex type-layouts, the subtleties of line- and word-spacing, and a solid understanding of measuring and registration for multiple color printing. Students will learn how to plan text and layout for their own 2-color print, as well as gain more technical knowledge of press operation, ink mixing, advanced typesetting, and edition printing.
Nif Hodgson is a San Francisco artist working in traditional and contemporary printmaking and letterpress techniques. She has been an artist-in-residence at Kala since 2000 and received her master's degree at San Francisco State University. Her work has been shown in national exhibitions, as well as throughout the Bay Area. And her artist books are available through the Seager Grey Gallery.
