This course is designed for those seeking to experiment with the Screenprint medium. Demonstrations will cover: using the screen to monotype, reductive printing, and printing with watercolor crayons. The first day will focus on digital separations in Photoshop, working with photo emulsion, and Mono printing techniques. Day two (Print Day) will be spent printing onto fabric/ t-shirts and studio time. No prerequisite. Photoshop skills are a plus but not required.

Mr. Ben Venom graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2007 with a Master of Fine Arts. He was recently interviewed on NPR: All Things Considered, included in the November 2011 issue of ARTFORUM Magazine, and was selected for Bay Area Now 6 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. His work has been shown both nationally and internationally including: Neurotitan Gallery (Germany), Wolverhapmton Gallery (England), Guerrero Gallery, Western Exhibitions, and THIS LA. Mr. Venom has lectured at the California College of Art, Burnaway Organization, and Untitled Gallery.
