El Museo presents a night of conversation and film clips that explore the real in documentaries. Filmmakers Chistina Ibarra, Frances Negrón-Muntaner, and Ela Troyano reveal the stories behind favorite unseen excerpts from their documentary films. The outtake is center stage as these award-winning filmmakers discuss and screen treasured clips reluctantly cut from recent projects. The evening will be a dialogue about the creative, technical, legal, and structural elements that shape the representation of reality.
This program is curated and moderated by Andrew Demirjian, an artist and educator who focuses on the intersection of non-fiction and new media.
