Digital Visions CALL www.ontherundesign.com

Digital Visions is seeking artists for a juried exhibition coordinated by emerging artists and curators at the University of British Columbia

The exhibition committee is interested in work that occupies alternate spaces (whether through physical, virtual, electronic, new media, network, performative or other related designations). The Digital Visions committee works with artists in discussing and assembling a database of information about current and past artist driven projects in an attempt to archive and preserve time-based, transitional and/or ephemeral artworks.

This curatorial program and exhibition managed by Sylvia Grace Borda, Associate Researcher and Lecturer at UBC, distinguishes itself through a nationally and internationally recognized program of thought-provoking exhibitions that stimulate reflection, inquiry and debate on current practices in contemporary art.

More about the exhibition’s curatorial process is carried out online, with invited artists being interviewed by an assigned curator and select works being presented as visual documents or online information portals/net artworks/URLs. All participating artists will be asked to provide more information about their pieces via an Internet interview, and their responses will be integrated into a series of critical essays that form the on-line exhibition.

Send submissions (jpeg max 100 KB +/URL; artist statement; summarized cv in email body text) ASAP for consideration to
