is featuring in its 2012 festival edition - starting on 25 October -
a selection from - SFC - Shoah Film Collection -
which is also completely streaming online on http://dts.engad.org
a worldwide unique initiative by
Wilfried Agricola de Cologne, director of Cologne Art & Moving Images Awards
and part of the international jury of Warsaw Jewish Film Festival,-
adressed to young artists and filmmakers generations
to deal with the topic of Holocaust & collective trauma
by using new technologies and contemporary approaches in art.
Founded in 2010, SFC - Shoah Film Collection is including
currently 50 outstanding experimental films, videoart & documentaries.
In 2012, a special event structure has been created, entitled:
"A Virtual Memorial - Commemorative Interventions"
in order to place "SFC - Shoah Film Collection" in the context of
complementary audience related interventions like lectures,
workshops, symposion, artists talks,discussions etc.
After "A Virtual Memorial Riga 2012"
a collaboration with Riga Ghetto & Latvian Holocaust Museum
standing under the Patronage of European Parliament
1-30 June 2012 @ Culture and Arts Project NOASS Riga - and
"A Virtual Memorial Phnom Penh 2012
dedicated to the victims of the Cambodian Holocaust 1975-1979
a collaboration with META House Phnom Penh - 12-15 July 2012,
Warsaw Jewish Film Festival 2012 - is hosting
"A Virtual Memorial Warsaw 2012" featuring SFC - SHoah film Collection
as the third of a series of events to take place
now and the coming years in Europe, USA and Asia.
