WHAT: Every Wednesday, upscale gallery-lounge W.i.P: Work in Progress will be organizing art events with original pieces from members of Con Artist Collective. This Wednesday, August 29th, W.I.P will host a special twist on the competition with the Ultimate Robo Pole Dance Battle from 9pm – after midnight.

Guests are invited to experience the future as artists from Con Artist Collective will be painting the bodies of the Robo Dancers. Then, the Robo Dancers will battle a rehearsed pole dance routine taught by renowned dancer Carolyn Chiu.

WHO: Con Artist Collective will paint the bodies of the participating Robo Dancers who will dance a routine taught by Carolyn Chiu.

Carolyn Chiu is a 2nd generation Taiwanese American who resides in Brooklyn, New York as a multi media artist with an early childhood background in gymnastics. She continues to be inspired by many pole fitness environments and launched her own Pole Dance Photography Business called PoleOgraphy, the Art of Imaging Pole Dancers and has been featured in NY Magazine January 11-17, 2011, "Unusual Yoga." With three-year experience combined as a pole fitness student, instructor, and performer, it was a naturally embraced process. Carolyn’s primary focus is to spread the art of vertical dancing as a respected, graceful performance demonstrating health, fitness and balance.

Also scope out new works, collaborations, and experiments from other Con Artist favorites, such as: Chris Mendoza, Mike Ming, Kenji Hirata, The Yok, Sheryo, Laura Tack, Dean Millien, Cody Oyama, Sam Woolley, IRKT, Rachael Senchoway, Michael Sharp, Ko Smith, Julia Pascone, Kanako Miyamoto, Oscar Tatsu, Victor Ochoa, Andy Wolf, Silvia Mihai and more.

9pm-11:30pm: Robo Dancers painted by Con Artist Collective
