“Trigonometric building” OUT NOW!

Dear friends,

I'm happy to share with you the “Trigonometric building”, an interactive video-mapping screening on a site-specific building (Demo on The New Museum NY).

"Trigonometric building" is a demo-proposal for an interactive architectural mapping projection designed specifically for the facade of the New Museum in New York, but it’s obviously also adaptable to other architectural facades, if further manipulated. In the interactive version, the audience via a PC-workstation placed in front
of the projection, can manipulate in real time the geometry of different parallelepipeds that compose the building, (using a 3-D software simulates a smooth-pencil-trace, that draws lines on white
cardboard) transforming them into triangles starting from their corners and/or faces. The result of the manipulations is a total deconstruction of the architectural structure that can appear occasionally minimal; therefore, closer to the primordial geometric shape, or complex, multiform and multifaceted, and in continuous
transformation from an always changing point of view, so that by looking at it, the observer can make a sort of virtual tour of 360° in space and time. http://www.chiarapassa.it/publicart.html
