On Friday, April 1st 2011, 7pm at the Jeu de Paume, in the
context of the exhibition “Identités précaires” on the Jeu de Paume
“Identity confusion” : a conference with Christophe Bruno, curator of the exhibition, Emmanuel Guez, philosopher, Inès Sapin, art critic and Cornelia Sollfrank, artist.
Friday, April 1st 2011, 7pm
Auditorium du Jeu de Paume, place de la Concorde 75008 Paris
This conference is dedicated to phenomena of identity instability and
confusion in the context of the network. As world information meets the paradoxes of transparency and state secrecy, a real industry of identity is growing : surveillance and traceability of information flows,
narcissistic stock management in social networks, reformatting of
ideologies and collective identifications…
These new modes of normativity are questionned by strategies blurring
genders and the very notion of gender, a weakening of art forms and
other barely discernible performances.
First part of the cycle "Side Effects", “Identités précaires” is an
online exhibition on the Jeu de Paume virtual space curated by
Christophe Bruno. With 0100101110101101.org, Anonymous, La Barbe, Aram Bartholl, Luther Blissett, Heath Bunting, Dick head man Records, Etoy, Iocose, Julien Levesque, Les Liens Invisibles, Michael Mandiberg, Moddr_, Mouchette, Cornelia Sollfrank, Yes Men.
