KRAZY! Chiptune Music

Techno composers are making creative use of video game console and antique computer sound chips—especially those from the golden age of the mid-1980s to early ‘90s—with the majority of chiptune artists emerging from Japan, Europe and Australia. Please join us for an intimate discussion with filmmaker Marcin Ramocki and chiptune musician Jeremiah Johnson (also known as Nullsleep) on the technological and intellectual influence of the video games in KRAZY! The Delirious World of Anime + Manga + Video Games and the advent of the chiptune music phenomenon.

Moderated by art critic and curator Ed Halter.

The discussion is preceded by a video screening of 8 BIT (2006, USA, 90 min.), a documentary about art and video games by Marcin Ramocki and Justin Strawhand.
