Studio Engineer, Arts Department
Responsibilities: This position will perform a full range of assigned duties pertaining to technical, engineering, and operation of the Arts Department and iEAR Studios. This includes routine and non-routine maintenance, systems administration tasks, ordering and installing new equipment and software, and assisting faculty, students and visitors in technical aspects of the studios; overseeing technical planning and coordination for concerts, exhibitions and performances. This individual will also assist in the design, development and implementation of organizational and information systems to support the studios; and maintain good working knowledge of all current and new studio systems and equipment.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a BS in Electronic Arts, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (with a concentration in computer arts applications) and at least 2 years of experience in video engineering and studio production. Knowledge of Windows based office and complex multi-computer; multi-platform (MacOS, Windows NT and Unix) Studio environment is necessary. A strong interest in contemporary art and music is an important asset.
