Assistant Professor: Tenure Track

Assistant Professor in Graphic Design, beginning August 2004.

Tenure-track, Assistant Professor to teach all levels of undergraduate graphic design, with an ability to teach secondary area such as Interactive Design and/or Motion Graphics. This position requires the understanding and ability to teach all aspects of design, with emphasis on typography, publication and print production with Mac-based computer skills, design history, design theory, and professional practice. Responsibilities: teach 3 courses/semester to selective admission BFA students in comprehensive art department; share oversight of area and facilities; maintain creative/professional achievement; service to the university.

Required Qualifications: MFA degree in Graphic Design. Excellent command of Photoshop, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator. Demonstrated expertise in print design. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in AfterEffects, Dreamweaver, Flash, and/or Director.
