These events are organized in conjunction with the exhibition “Kinesthetics: Art Imitating Life,” on view through April 27th. Both events and exhibition are free and open to the public.

Taezoo Park
“How it Works” Interactive Media Presentation

This presentation will explore the possibilities of interactive media in art and design through practical demonstrations with controlling LEDs, motors, and sensors, and light.

Taezoo Park (taezoo.com) is a Brooklyn-based interactive media artist. He holds an M.F.A. in Digital Arts from Pratt Institute and a B.F.A. in Animation from Hongik University, Seoul. Mr. Park has collaborated with many new media artists as a technical assistant through his work at Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center. In 2012 he was chosen as a featured artist by ARTE FUSE and presented his kinetic artwork “Digital Being” at the New York Maker Faire.

Augmented Reality Presentation

Meredith Drum (meredithdrum.com) creates cinema projects as linear screenings, interactive exhibitions, and augmented reality walking tours. Recent initiatives investigate environmental governance, urban wildlife and the shifting boundaries between the categories human and animal within the realms of ecology, art history, gastronomy, economics, sociology, urban planning, land management and cultural studies.
