The Campos de Gutiérrez Foundation is inviting artists, designers, art historians, and curators to apply to its residency program housed in a 19th century coffee plantation in the foothills of Medellin. The residence is located within a natural reserve 25 minutes away from the city’s downtown area.

The full ten-week program provides residents with the following: Private lodging with unlimited studio access; A studio visit from one guest critic in addition to optional weekly critiques; Weekly guided trips to sites of interest in Medellin; Access to the Campos de Gutiérrez Library and Archive and MAATI ceramic studio; An exhibition or artist talk.

The foundation will select six to eight applicants to participate in this session. The foundation offers up to a 50 % need-based subsidy of the program fee, which is estimated at USD $700 a month (4 weeks). Costs are lower for bilingual residents who are fluent in English and Spanish and groups. The fee does not cover board, transportation, or materials except for ceramic clay.

Proposals should be made to begin after July 14th and end before the 30th of September 2013. The minimum amount of time for a residency period is six weeks.
