The panel will discuss the findings of a McGhee-SCPS project from Fall 2007 that explored Second Life as a vehicle for interdisciplinary studies between media practice ( 'Macbeth' machinima, designed and shot in Second Life) and media theory ('Media Genres' and 'Political Economy of Digital Media'). Participating degrees were the BS in Digital Communications and Media and the BA in Media Studies.
