Call for Exhibition Proposals, Hartnett Gallery

The Hartnett Gallery at the University of Rochester, New York, will be accepting proposals in early spring 2013 from individual artists and groups interested in exhibiting their work during the 2013/14 academic year.

Established in 1972, this unique triangular gallery is located in one of the main buildings of the university, Wilson Commons, which was designed by the renowned architect I.M. Pei. The gallery has a rich exhibition history that includes both artists at the initial stages of their careers and artists who are internationally known.

Proposals should include: 1) a Curriculum Vitae, 2) an Artist’s Statement, 3) a Project Description, specifying spatial and technical needs, 4) 8-10 representative Digital Images, and 5) an Image List (title, date, dimensions, medium).

Submission Deadline: March 11, 2013

Applicants will be notified by the end of April, 2013. Selected artists will have their travel reimbursed and receive a modest honorarium.
