ELECTRONIC ARTS :: MFA PROGRAM

The fulltime three-year MFA program in Electronic Arts nurtures the creative production of students in pursuit of the actualization of new tools, interfaces, and visions around technology and the arts. Coursework with experienced and internationally recognized faculty supports experimental and interdisciplinary research into the areas of Sound Art, Video Art, Immersive Media, Physical Computing, Computational Media, Transmission, Telematic Arts, and Electronics Hacking alongside seminars in New Media history and theory.

Prospective students should evidence thoughtful creative and experimental use of technology for art production and an engagement with the historical and theoretical dialogue of contemporary art practice. Through the International Collaborative Arts Program (ICAP), students have opportunities to study with visiting international artists while collaborating with peers in partner institutions nationwide.

Students from the Physical Computing and Immersive Media: Fulldome courses have recently been featured and/or received awards at:
