New Media Caucus Showcase at CAA NYC 2013

The fourth annual NMC Showcase during CAA 2013 will be hosted by the National Academy Museum & School on the first evening of the CAA conference - Wednesday February 13th and will be followed by a reception!

The NMC showcase is a series of rapid-fire presentations by 16 NMC members (6 minute presentations), one right after another – its proven to be a great forum where you can get to know the work of a number of fellow members in a lively atmosphere / a great way to present your work to like-minded individuals. Several spots will be reserved for graduate students currently enrolled in an MFA or PHD program.

How you use the 6 minutes is up to you – show one project or a dozen – finished work or in-process work.

Presenters are chosen by lottery / you must enter your name to be considered.

We publish simultaneous web and print on demand CAA Conference Editions yearly, and we will publish material from the NMC Showcase. Participants will be asked to submit a statement and work samples.

HOW TO ENTER THE LOTTERY
Send Joyce Rudinsky [email protected] an email indicating that you would like to be entered into the lottery for the NMC Showcase. Please indicate if you are FT Professor, PT Professor, or a Graduate Student – as well as your title/institution/program as appropriate. Please also indicate if you are institutionally independent. If you have a URL, please provide that as well.
