Knockdown Center, a new three-acre art complex in Maspeth, Queens, is now accepting proposals for its Outdoor Interactive Recreational Sculpture Garden (aka mini golf course).
OIRSG will be a series of commissioned works of art that act as obstacles/collaborators to frustrate/facilitate the viewer’s objective: get a small white ball into a hole.
Proposals should be for one functioning OUTDOOR mini golf hole. Knockdown Center is offering a $400 materials stipend and a $300 artist fee for this project.
Proposals are due July 22nd. OIRSG will open with a bang at Knockdown Center August 10th and then be open to the public on weekends for 12 weeks (or until the weather turns.)
