OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS
WAH CENTER SPRING FLING

SAT. APRIL 21 – SUN. MAY 27, 2012
OPENING SAT. APRIL 21, 4-6 PM

Come, fill the Cup, and in the Fire of Spring / The Winter Garment of Repentance Fling!  (The Rubaiyat, Omar Khayyam, 1120 AD)

The WAH Center (Williamsburg Art & Historical Center) is now accepting submissions for Spring Fling, an international juried exhibition. Spring is a time of planting for the future when nature erupts with joyous living presence. In the spirit of celebration, our open call provides an opportunity for outstanding artists to showcase work to new audiences in Williamsburg—the heart of Brooklyn’s art community.

The WAH Center is housed in New York City Landmark Kings County Savings Bank (built in 1867) and on the National Register of Historic Places. This French Second Empire architectural treasure offers artists a visually stunning and unique exhibition space. Our gallery is able to accommodate large-scale works, and we welcome submissions in any medium, including 2-D, 3-D, video, performance, and installation.

Representing a seasonal and creative return-to-earth, Spring Fling coincides with our Spring Festival, featuring music and performance series, Taste of Williamsburg smorgasbord from delicious local eateries, as well as an artist market, flower show, and other special programs. We look forward to including your talent in what will be an exceptional event!
