In January 2012,
Cologne International Videoart Festival
started its expansion by adding two new branches to
its festival context

1. 1#minuteCologne - Cologne One Minute Film Festival

2. animateCOLOGNE - Cologne Art & Animation Festival
http://caaf.newmediafest.org

Both contexts would like these particular artistic expressions more attention, relevance and space by using a new festival format based on an exceptional permament collections of one minute films, as well as animated art contents to be extended once a year via a new festival edition.

Also in February 2012, the nomadic festival project

continues the tour around the globe by jumping from Belarus to Thailand
