Ruediger John creates situative, installative, interventionistic, research and publication- oriented works and exhibitions and is known for his definitoric and practical works in Artistic Research and Systemic Art. Since 1997, he has also been working as a Critical Aesthetic Consultant. Teaching experience: 2000-03 Assistant Professor for installative, situative working, contextualization, cognitive aspects, mixed-media at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart (State Academy of Fine Arts and Design Stuttgart). 2002-03 Professor in substitution for Kunst/Kunst- und Designwissenschaften - Skulptur/Raum (Art/Art and Design Sciences - Sculpture/Space) at Hochschule für Gestaltung, Technik und Wirtschaft Pforzheim (Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences). 2004/2005 Visiting Professor for Kunst und Wirtschaft - Transferkunst, Systemische Kunst, künstlerische Forschung (Art and Economy - Transfer Art, Systemic Art, Artistic Research) at Universität der Künste Berlin (University for the Arts Berlin). Other: 2003 Founder of Gesellschaft für kritische Ästhetik (Society for Critical Aesthetics).
