Corey Helford Gallery is proud to present “Twenty Two”, a solo exhibition of new works by Los Angeles artist Korin Faught. For her first solo show in Los Angeles, Faught celebrates ingenues and double entendres through a series of oil on canvas paintings and drawings. Twenty two scenes reveal a world of stylish youth, sweet seduction and modern glamour. Faught’s signature neutral palette captures the subtle moods and elegance of her subjects: couples and twins. Pairing the unexpected, “Twenty Two” balances strong narrative and theme with delicate, graceful imagery. Open to the public, the reception for “Twenty Two” will take place on Saturday, March 22 from 7 to 10pm, and the show will be on exhibit until April 19, 2008.

Korin Faught was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1981 and raised in Colorado. She received her B.F.A. from Art Center College of Design in 2004. Faught finds inspiration in mid-century modern design, fashion, and white on white. Her work has been exhibited at numerous galleries in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, San Francisco and Seattle, including Merry Karnowsky Gallery, Copro Nason, Gallery Nucleus, The Shooting Gallery and Aidan Savoy Gallery. Faught has been featured in Abitare magazine as well as on Juxtapoz.com. For more information about the artist, please visit www.korinfaught.com.
