The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated 2D/3D Animation Instructor to join the New Media Arts Department. Located in scenic Santa Fe, New Mexico, IAIA offers degrees in Studio Arts, New Media Arts, Creative Writing, Museum Studies and Indigenous Liberal Studies. IAIA is devoted to the study of contemporary arts, as well as the art of education, and is the only four-year fine arts degree institution in the nation devoted to contemporary Native American and Alaska Native arts.
NOTE: Although grant funding for this position may be extended, a grant-funded position has no guarantee of on-going and indefinite employment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required Education: To succeed in this role you must have a MFA with recent and relevant teaching Animation experience at the college level. Your background will demonstrate a high level of professional achievement and track record in 2D/3D Imaging and Animation. Your experience with American Indian and Alaska Native artists and cultures is highly desirable.
