Oppera Internettikka - Protection et Sécurité

by Annie Abrahams and Igor Stromajer

http://rhizome.org/artbase/45961/index.html

Oppera Internettikka - Protection et Sécurité explores the poetics of a contemporary sound form: live opera as a sound event in the form of a live Internet audio broadcast. It combines Internet protocols with a classical art space: the opera house. In essence, the project bridges two different spaces: Opera, which is a traditional art form with much passion and the Internet, a lonely place becoming more and more fragile, hostile and suspicious.
