Like the proverbial tree in the forest, does art exist without an audience to experience it? This exhibit showcases works of art that blur the line between artist and audience. All artists desire to speak to an audience through their work. What better way to involve the audience than to have their interactions with the piece become the art? The art works in this exhibit not only depend on the audience for recognition but require their interactions to enhance the works. In fact all of the works included draw their expressiveness from the audiences interactions with the pieces. And likewise the audience can not fully experience the works without direct interaction with them. The audience is not a passive viewer of the art, but in a way is the audience, the artist and the critic simultaneously.
