The art that I usually like is works that rebel against contemporary pieces. I tried to find those pieces as best as i could in this project. This exhibition is entitled temptations because I wanted to evoke the darker side in people. Amphora/ Nude Story is a silhouette of four nude women. Many men have thought of having a relationship with multiple women and this piece might remind him (and maybe some women) of his desire. Every person reacts differently to women and by them naked, it makes them react more naturally and instinctively. Le Cri is a piece that I found that resembles a person on drugs. Drugs alter your consciousness and its almost impossible to describe a feeling on drugs. I think this photo shows a negative side effect of a drug. This person is screaming but it seems as if he is being ripped into two different people. Want & Need is a work that ask society the question of what do they need and what do they want. These two words have become interchangeable and often get tossed around. This shows a woman bending over but if you look closely she is made of font characters. You can text the number of the poster and have you want or need be added to the poster. Counter Street Art shows a video game character crouching in front of a giant Nike poster that says, "This map will soon be called Nike Map, please come inside for details." This work is rebelling against product placement in video games. Like film, product placement is seen as a distraction from the general plot of the game/movie and steers away from its intended purpose. Interception 2 shows a man reaching for a camera. The camera was monitoring a public area. The man takes the camera and put it in a subway, where he thought the camera would be more beneficial to society. He had a temptation to steal a camera and spontaneously took the camera without any second thoughts.
