Eidetic, or "Photographic" memory is the ability to recall images into the mind at will. Beyond the ability to simply remember details, an Eidetiker actually holds a pictorial image in memory; he or she can 'project' remembered images onto surfaces, or combine remembered images to make a combined image. As a concept it's the stuff of daydreams. How much simpler your life would be with the ability to recall an exact image of, to name just a few, a map, directory, or textbook page.
