Senior Tutor in Design Interactions
26,955 - 30,177 p.a. (three days per week)

The Design Interactions Department at the Royal College of Art has a leading reputation for advanced and innovative practice and explores new roles, contexts and approaches for interaction design in relation to current and emerging technologies. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Tutor, working three days a week, to work closely with the Head of Department on the strategic planning, curriculum design and academic development of the department.

The Senior Tutor will be responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the course which includes liaising with industry and other organisations, the pastoral care of students and contributing to the examination and assessment procedure.

You should possess experience of advanced design practice, research or theory in relation to exploring the social, cultural and ethical implications of current and emerging technologies, together with a relevant degree. Experience of designing and implementing studio-based taught courses and workshops is essential and an awareness or interest in emerging technologies such as bio and nanotechnology would be an advantage.
