We seek a painter to teach contemporary approaches to painting at all levels to both art majors and general education students beginning in the fall of 2011. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a new painting curriculum that incorporates conceptual depth in at least one area of new/interactive painting practice. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in interactive media, digital processing, and/or programming. Candidates should have a record of artistic accomplishment, an MFA (in hand or expected by May, 2012) and college-level teaching experience. Joint applications welcome. Applications should include a cover letter, CV, digital portfolio, student work (if available) and statement of teaching philosophy. Send all materials to Dawn Nye and Sarah Maline, Co-Chairs, Painting Search Committee, Department of Sound, Performance, and Visual
