The First European Machinima Festival is organised by the Institute of Creative Technologies at De Montfort University and the Academy of Machinima Arts and Sciences, and takes place at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK, 12-14 October 2007.

Chris Joseph [http://www.chrisjoseph.org] is an electronic writer and artist whose past projects include the bike-powered multimedia installation 'NRG', and 'Inanimate Alice' [http://www.inanimatealice.com], an award-winning series of multimedia stories produced with novelist Kate Pullinger. He is editor of the post-Dada magazine and artist network 391.org [http://www.391.org], and was the first Digital Writer in Residence at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK from 2006-2008.
